Classes focus on the individual child and the idea of exploration. For new students, I introduce the basic knowledge of color and light and how it works, and the idea of design. These can then be applied to whatever medium (oil, watercolor, acrylic, colored pencil, oil pastel, etc.), they select. Over 50 projects offered.   Youth Art Philosophy Well beyond the actual finished art pieces that are taken home, lies what I call the "field of learning." In art, as in all facets of learning, there are differing ways to gain knowledge. I look at these classes as a holistic process. From the initial idea, the students move on to the drawing or structure, application of pigments, color relationships and the completion of the piece.
